Potable Water System

The goal of the provision of the facilities is to improve the health condition of the members of farmers' household in the areas to minimize the spent by women and children in hauling water from spring wells, and generally improve the living standards in the ARCs. This involve the construction or rehabilitation of rural water supply, classified as Level I and Level II. Level I are the water supply system prevailing in the most ARCs and commonly equipped  with a cylinder-type manual pump while level II consists of deep well or spring, pumping equipment, water tank, main pipe line, distribution pipe line and communal faucet.

Under the project, a total of 70 PWS facilities were constructed, which consisted of 10 units of point sources of Level I systems, 57 communal faucets of Level Ii system and 3 units of combination of Levels I and II. Approximately 21,461 household in 70 ARCs located in 43 provinces and 15 regions, are benefiting from the facilities provided.
